Appearance and skins
Choose how NexoPad looks: 8 skins, automatic day and night mode, and a skin with your team's colors.
Skins change the colors of the whole extension so you can work in the style that feels most comfortable. They don't change how anything works: your notes, snippets and links stay exactly the same.
Classic is the original look and the default. If you don't pick a skin, NexoPad looks the way it always has.
How to change the skin
Open the Settings menu in the popup
Click your avatar at the bottom right of the popup and expand the Settings section.
Expand Appearance
Click Appearance. Next to the title you'll see the name of your current skin.
Preview and choose
Hover over each circle to see that skin applied instantly, without saving it. Click the one you want to keep it.
The 8 skins
Classic
The original look, in blue. This is the default skin.
Dark
A full night mode in navy blue, easy on the eyes in low light.
Terminal
Light and fresh with an emerald green accent, inspired by the dev world.
Studio
Gold and orange with a dark header, for a professional, premium touch.
Sakura
The warm skin: a pink accent and soft backgrounds.
Midnight
Dark with character: purple tones with pink details.
Graphite
Minimalist black and white, with no color distractions.
My team
The whole extension in your company's brand color. Teams only.
Automatic day and night mode
Inside Appearance there's an Automatic switch. It's off by default: turn it on only if you want the extension to switch by itself.
With automatic mode on, NexoPad follows your operating system's light or dark mode. During the day it uses the light skin you picked, and at night it switches to the dark skin you choose under At night: Dark or Midnight.
If you pick a dark skin directly while automatic mode is on, automatic mode turns off, because you've chosen a fixed skin.
My team skin (Teams)
- It only appears in Appearance if you belong to a Teams workspace with a brand color set. Hover over its circle to see your team's name.
- It dresses the whole extension in that color: header, buttons, selection and highlights.
- If the brand color is very light (a yellow, for example), it's darkened just enough for text to stay readable.
- If an admin changes the brand color, the skin updates instantly for every member.
- If you leave the team, the skin disappears and the extension goes back to Classic.

Frequently asked questions
Does changing the skin modify my notes or snippets?
No. Skins only change the interface colors. Your content isn't touched.
How do I go back to the original look?
Choose Classic in Appearance. If you had automatic mode on, turn it off too.
I don't see the My team skin
It only appears if your Teams workspace has a brand color set. Ask an admin to add one in the team settings.
Why do website logos have a light box in dark skins?
So that black or very dark logos remain visible on the dark background.
