Work from the side panel without leaving the page
This is the most comfortable place to review and act on content while you keep browsing.
The side panel brings together search, notes, snippets, links, clips, detected variables, and AI tools. The benefit is clear: you can keep looking at the current website while checking your resources.
It is also one of the best places to capture quick information and review recent or frequent items.
How to open the side panel
You can open it from the extension itself or assign a shortcut from the browser shortcuts page. If your browser does not allow automatic opening in a certain situation, NexoPad will show a clear message so you can open it manually.
When the page is internal or protected, the panel may show a warning instead of trying to inject features that the browser does not allow.

Notes and snippets
Review, filter, and reuse notes or shortcuts from the same side interface.
Links
Save the current tab, open saved shortcuts, and browse categories without closing the active page.
Detected variables
Shows variables recognized on the current page and lets you copy the matching token.
Clips
Centralizes snippets of saved text from selections and treats them as searchable content.
AI
Offers rewrite, summarize, translate, and saved prompt actions when your plan enables AI.
Quick actions
Includes quick note, save link, open notebook, compact mode, and access to most-used snippets.
Clips and quick actions
If you select text inside a page and use Alt+C, NexoPad can save it as a clip. That clip is stored as a note in the Clips category and usually includes the source and original URL.
On the Free plan there is a visible Limited number of clips per month. Also, inside the side panel, clips count together with notes when certain personal-space limits are evaluated.
From the panel you can also work in compact mode, launch a quick note, save the current tab, and access your most-used snippets without losing focus on the website you have open.
