Work from the side panel without leaving the page
It is the most comfortable place to consult, capture, and act on content while you keep browsing.
The side panel brings together search, notes, snippets, links, clips, detected variables, and AI tools. Its biggest advantage is that you can keep seeing the current website while consulting your resources.
In the recent version, the AI tab grew a lot: it is no longer just a prompt box, but a space with providers, history, chat mode, exports, built-in help, and actions on selected text.
How to open the side panel
You can open it from the extension itself or assign a shortcut in the browser shortcuts page. The side panel does not ship with a default shortcut, so it is worth setting one if you plan to use it every day.
When the page is internal, protected, or incompatible with certain injections, the panel may show a warning instead of trying to run features that the browser blocks. If your account has PIN protection enabled, the side panel respects that state and asks you to unlock before showing sensitive information.
In Opera and in some Firefox contexts, it may require manual opening from the browser UI. That does not mean the panel is broken; it is a limitation of the environment where the extension runs.

What the panel AI tab now offers
- Store multiple API keys and switch between providers from the same panel.
- Choose a suggested model or type a custom model if your account supports it.
- Launch quick actions or paste text to correct, formalize, soften, summarize, translate, or redraft it.
- Enter chat mode with history, automatic titles, streaming, and a stop button.
- Attach a note as extra context before sending the prompt.
- Save results or conversations as notes and export them as Markdown.
- Set a persona or system prompt for more consistent output.
- Open built-in help sections where the extension itself explains snippets, variables, clips, and AI.
- Enable or disable the AI bubble and other settings related to selected-text workflows.
Quick actions, workspaces, and states you may see
From the panel you can launch a quick note, save the current tab as a link, capture a clip from selection, and toggle compact mode. It is a strong combination when you need to consult information without losing the context of the page you are on.
Content can be filtered by personal or Teams workspace. If you belong to a team, depending on your role you may see an editable shared vault, a vault subject to approval, or even a read-only mode when the team is frozen or when your role is viewer.
If the AI tab does not appear or you see blocking messages, check three things in this order: valid session, configured provider, and compatible page context.
