How to find snippets, notes, and links in seconds
NexoPad search does not live in a single place: each launcher is designed for a different context.
You can search from the popup, the in-page omnibar, the floating snippet picker, and the browser omnibox. Each one is meant for a different action, which is why it is worth learning them as a system.
The more you use certain items, the more visible they tend to become in the internal rankings.
Popup search
The popup prioritizes shortcuts, text matches, and frequent usage. That is why snippets with a clear shortcut and the most-used resources usually move higher.
It is the best place to locate content when you are not yet sure whether what you saved was a note, a snippet, or a link.
Fastest search launchers
Omnibar `Ctrl+K` / `Cmd+K`
Searches snippets, notes, and links over the current page. A snippet can be inserted, a note can be copied, and a link can be opened.
`//` picker
Opens inside an editable field and is focused on inserting snippets without leaving the writing flow.
`sys` omnibox
Works from the browser bar and is ideal for launching links or dynamic searches before you even enter a site.
What each result does when you choose it
- A snippet is usually inserted into the current field or prepared to be copied, depending on the launcher you use.
- A note usually copies its content or opens for review, which makes it useful as a quick reply or reference.
- A link opens the URL directly and can fill
%sor%host%when applicable. - You can move through results with the arrow keys and confirm with
Enter.
