Account, sync, and sessions
NexoPad syncs personal and team content so you do not depend on a single browser or device.
The account can work with Google or with email and password. Once inside, the extension syncs notes, links, and, when applicable, shared team content.
It also handles session refresh, subscription states, and the startup flow from the welcome page.
You can sign in with Google or with email and password. In Firefox, the extension explicitly shows that Google login is not available, so there you must use email and password.
After installing NexoPad, a welcome page opens and serves as the entry point for startup and connection with your account.
On the login screen you can check Remember password so you don't have to type your credentials every time you open the extension: the email is always saved, and the password only if you enable that checkbox β both stored locally in your browser.
If you have two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled on your account, the extension detects it automatically at sign-in and asks for the code from your authenticator app before granting access.
What the extension syncs
| Scope | What it downloads or refreshes |
|---|---|
| Personal | Personal notes, personal links, and related settings. |
| Team | Shared content and workspace settings when you belong to an organization. |
| Session | The extension refreshes the session automatically when it detects that expiry is near. |
Device limit by plan
| Plan | Simultaneous devices | What happens if you go over |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 | The new sign-in is rejected until you close the active session on the other device. |
| Pro | 5 | Same behavior as Free, but with room to work from several devices at once. |
| Teams | 5 | The limit applies per user inside the workspace, not per whole team. |
Compatibility and special states
If the account enters suspended status, the extension can show an access lock screen until the state becomes normal again.
If you belong to Teams, the team subscription state also matters: a frozen team can leave the experience in restricted or read-only mode.
If you hit the device limit, a slide-in banner appears at the bottom of the popup with a direct link to manage and close active sessions from your account's Security section.
